Step by step: Dailymotion to iPhone

Open the video in the Dailymotion app or on dailymotion.com. Find the exact video you want and let it start playing, so you know you've got the right one.

Tap Share, then Copy Link. In the Dailymotion app, the Share button sits under the player; on the mobile website, you can also just copy the URL from Safari's address bar. Either way, the video's link is now on your clipboard.

Open Safari and go to downloadxAI. Any browser technically works, but Safari's built-in download manager makes the rest of this much easier on iOS.

Where downloads actually live (iOS 17 and 18). Open the Files app, tap Browse, and look for Downloads under iCloud Drive. If you previously changed Safari's download location, it'll be under On My iPhone instead. You can check — or change — this in Settings → Apps → Safari → Downloads.
Getting into the camera roll. Photos is picky about formats: it wants standard MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio), which is exactly what downloadxAI produces for most videos — it remuxes Dailymotion's streams into MP4 right in your browser. On the rare video that can only be saved as a raw .ts file, Photos will refuse the import; keep that file in Files and play it there or in VLC, or simply try another quality, which usually converts cleanly.

Mind your storage. A 10-minute video at 720p runs roughly 100–200 MB, and 1080p can double that. If your iPhone is nearly full, iOS may quietly pause or fail large downloads — check Settings → General → iPhone Storage before blaming the Wi-Fi.
